Razo Rice


Razo Rice, also known as Arabian Rice, is a delicious and aromatic rice dish that originates from the Arabian Peninsula. It is a flavorful blend of spices, fragrant rice, and tender meat or vegetables.


Ingredients:

1. Basmati Rice: 2 cups

2. Meat or Vegetables: Choose your preference (chicken, lamb, beef, or mixed vegetables)

3. Onion: 1 large, finely chopped

4. Garlic: 4-5 cloves, minced

5. Ginger: 1-inch piece, grated

6. Tomato: 2 medium-sized, diced

7. Vegetable Oil: 4 tablespoons

8. Razo Spice Mix: 2 tablespoons (a blend of aromatic spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, and cardamom)

9. Salt: To taste

10. Water or Broth: 4 cups



Instructions:

1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water and soak it for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

4. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute.

5. Add the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften.

6. If using meat, add it to the pot and cook until it browns. If using vegetables, skip this step.

7. Add the Razo Spice Mix and salt to the pot, stirring well to coat the ingredients.

8. Pour in the water or broth and bring it to a boil.

9. Once the liquid is boiling, add the soaked and drained rice to the pot, spreading it evenly.

10. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and let the rice cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

11. Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes to allow the steam to distribute evenly.

12. Fluff the rice gently with a fork before serving.
