It is a coveted Tunisian biscuit, zouza means nuts. This little wonder resembles the shape of a walnut with two shells that are filled with Caramel or Nutella.
Ingredients :
500g flour
250g SOFT butter
4 eggs
2 tbsp starch
1 packet of vanilla
1 packet of baking powder
1 jar of sweetened condensed milk or chocolate Nutella .
Preparation:
Make the caramel: put the can of condensed milk in a casserole dish and cover with water. Cook for 45 minutes then let cool.
Mix the soft butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar.
Add the eggs one by one.
Add the flour and baking powder and mix.
Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
Then, make small balls the size of a hazelnut and put in a preheated zouza machine.
After cooking, cut the zuza for a nice visual
Top cookies with caramel. .
Form your zuza balls by overlapping two halves.
